Cape Town Northern Suburbs

Cape Town is often divided between the Northern Suburbs and the Southern Suburbs. In general the Northern Suburbs lies in the area of the N1 and to the north of the N1. The Northern Suburbs includes areas like Bellville, Bothasig, Brackenfell, Brooklyn, Durbanville, Edgemead, Elsie's River, Goodwood kensington, Kraaifontein, Kuils River, Maitland, Monta Vista, Panorama, Parow, Thornton and Table View. Although the Northern Suburbs has very wealthy areas some of the Northern Suburbs are considered as less wealthy. But it is hard to judge just by the name as many of these area's has wealthy and the not so wealthy area's. Most of the Northern Suburb Capetonians are anyway in comparison with the rest of Africa very wealthy and at least live in a house or a flat.

For years property development happened at a astonishing rate in all of the Northern Suburbs and new houses and complexes appeared all over the area. Property and living standard compare well with western world and sizes of houses and complexes are even greater than what is found in many western european cities.
